Delhi : The Hive Coding Club’s Webinar was held on 3th January, 2021. The topic was “Emerging trends in Industrial and Academic Research in Computer Science”.
The Hive Coding Club is a student-run cooperative club of Jamia Millia Islamia started in Jan,2020. It started with an aim to encourage ‘innovation and creativity’ among students. The coding club majorly involves students to develop real world projects so that they get industry-ready and can contribute to the society as well.
The speakers included Prof Syed Afzal Murtaza Rizvi, Prof Monica Mehrotra, Dr. Mansaf Alam and Dr. Samiya Khan. And the guest speaker was Dr. Sakshi Dhall and her topic for the talk was Cyber Security. And the topic of speakers included Edu-informatics on the run, Emerging trends on social media, Use of Big Data and Cultural Intelligence for next generation AI.
Zia Haider Naqvi, a member of club said,”In addition to organising this webinar, we also launched the first version of our Club’s website. Besides this, we also arranged separate quiz session to make our event more enthralling.”
He also highlighted that,”Our goal of the event was to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea-focused, and on a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter. The event was a great success and we received positive responses from the speakers as well as the participants.”
